Who we are
AKR Accounting is the controller responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. You can contact us at 13b Market Place, Caistor, Lincolnshire LN7 6TP, by telephone on 01472 851777, or by email at enquiries@akraccounting.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry or request a callback, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, and the information included in your message. Our web server may also process basic technical and security information such as an IP address, request time and browser details.
How and why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond to you, arrange consultations, provide requested information, protect the website from misuse, and maintain appropriate business records. We process it where necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business.
Who receives it
Information may be processed by service providers supporting our website, email and business systems. Website messages are transmitted through our hosting provider and Brevo mail relay and delivered to our Microsoft 365 email service. These providers process information under their own security and contractual arrangements. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
General enquiries are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and manage follow-up, normally no longer than 24 months. If you become a client, relevant information is retained under our client engagement, professional and legal record-keeping obligations.
Cookies and external services
This website does not use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. It loads fonts from Google and includes an embedded Google map. Those services receive technical connection information and may use cookies or similar storage under Google's policies. You can block third-party content using your browser settings and can contact us directly for location information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and international processing
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom using recognised transfer safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page.
